Kirk Douglas, Bruce and students put on a 'whale' of a show at LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) Ribbon Cutting Ceremony"Life is ironic. As a kid I saw '20,000 Leagues...' at least a half-dozen times. One of the most charming parts of the film for me was when Kirk Douglas sang "Got a Whale of a Tale". So when I was asked to write a song to honor Mr. Douglas and his wife at the ribbon cutting ceremony, I immediately knew what I would do, and adapting 'Whale' turned out to be a happy choice.
